I believe every person and every relationship is capable of growth and change.

  • I am from Mexico City and have been in the states for the past 22 years. I love both my Hispanic and American cultures, and of course, I am fluent in English and Spanish.

    I obtained my bachelors in Psychology at the University of Houston and my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Since then I have spent my time learning and training more in depth to work with couples and adults that are searching for change and personal growth.

    I founded Roots of Hope Counseling because of a strong desire to reach more people and help them in their journey towards their desired life. My goal was to create a space where people can come find healing and hope for their lives and their relationships.

    I have training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Gottman Trauma and Affair Method, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which I now use as my primary way of helping my clients.

  • I primarily focus on working with couples who are seeking premarital help, improvement in their communication, recovery after infidelity, and restoring trust and unity in a relationship.

    I also work with individuals seeking guidance in how to better understand and manage their emotional well being, building confidence, and have guidance through major life transitions. I help people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief from abortion or miscarriage and those needing guidance after divorce or separation.

    My focus is to help my clients reach their goals by exploring the challenges they are facing, gaining a deeper understanding on the emotions that are hidden behind the constant struggles, and identify solutions that bring about lasting positive changes.

  • I focus in working with couples who want to have a fulfilling and healthy relationship by helping them improve their way of communicating and repairing their emotional bond through using the Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy approach, a research based model focused on helping people get out of dysfunctional patterns. and create stronger intimate relationships.

    I also focus in helping individuals who are struggling to overcome past traumas, depression, insecurities, anxieties, grief from abortion or miscarriage, and want to develop a stronger confidence in themselves. Using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Experiential Therapy models I help people develop healthy ways of thinking and positive habits that help create the healing and life they desire.

  • Fee per 50 minute session

    Individuals $165

    Couples $165

    Availability: In person @ Sugarland TX & Virtual

    Tuesdays & Thursdays 9am - 1pm

    some Saturdays 9am - 11am
